Activated Ministries Scholarships

As of June, 2016, 284 scholarships have been awarded to qualifying individuals, for a total of $275,000. Since 2010, Activated Ministries’ In Recognition of Service Scholarships have provided tuition assistance to the children of current and former missionaries. Our goal is to honor those who have served on the mission field, for a minimum of 10 years, by assisting their children in the pursuit of their education. Individual scholarships range from $500 to $1500, averaging $1000.

Applications are received and processed each Spring and Fall. Sierra Sanchez

I was so excited when I heard that I had won this scholarship. It is such a blessing to receive a gift like this that allows me to pursue my dream of becoming a teacher overseas. There are always extra expenses associated with being an Missionary Kid, such as flying across the world to be with family, and this money will help me continue my college degree and still be able to visit my family. I am excited to be returning for my third year of college, and am highly appreciative of this organization for aiding me in my journey of education. Read more about Sierra Sanchez

When you informed me that I was awarded the Activated Ministries Scholarship for Fall 2018, I
was completely ecstatic! I must have re-read your letter about two or three times just to make
sure it was real. Thank you, thank you, thank you all for making this possible for me! This last
year, I was at a crossroad of whether to continue my education in obtaining a BA in Child
Development or just settle for an AA in this field. I knew that with a BA I could do much, much

Maria Faquaharson

Teaching children has always been a great passion of mine. Throughout my 30 years of missionary service, I have always been involved in teaching in some form or another. My children have graduated from high school and my desire now is to teach underprivileged children and young people in third-world countries. My goal specifically is to teach children from primary school until they complete high-school and have a future in their career and academic life. Read more about Maria Faquaharson
