Activated Ministries Scholarships

As of June, 2016, 284 scholarships have been awarded to qualifying individuals, for a total of $275,000. Since 2010, Activated Ministries’ In Recognition of Service Scholarships have provided tuition assistance to the children of current and former missionaries. Our goal is to honor those who have served on the mission field, for a minimum of 10 years, by assisting their children in the pursuit of their education. Individual scholarships range from $500 to $1500, averaging $1000.

Applications are received and processed each Spring and Fall. Sara Goff

I was overwhelmed with excitement when a friend recommended the IROS scholarship program to me. After applying, I must admit that I was very anxious awaiting the initial response from the program. When I heard that I would be receiving a grant from Activated Ministries, I was so thankful to hear the news. It is not always easy for working students, such as me, to juggle work and studying at the same time. With your help, I will be able to dedicate more of my time to my academic goals. I'd like to thank Activates Ministries for their generous scholarship, which will greatly help my family and I return to the mission field debt free! Upon completing school, we plan to return to the D.R. Congo to volunteer full-time with a remote Christian University working in community development.

May God bless all those who contributed to this scholarship for their generosity and encouragement.

I was so excited when I heard that I had won this scholarship. It is such a blessing to receive a gift like this that allows me to pursue my dream of becoming a teacher overseas. There are always extra expenses associated with being an Missionary Kid, such as flying across the world to be with family, and this money will help me continue my college degree and still be able to visit my family. I am excited to be returning for my third year of college, and am highly appreciative of this organization for aiding me in my journey of education. Read more about Sierra Sanchez
