When you informed me that I was awarded the Activated Ministries Scholarship for Fall 2018, I
was completely ecstatic! I must have re-read your letter about two or three times just to make
sure it was real. Thank you, thank you, thank you all for making this possible for me! This last
year, I was at a crossroad of whether to continue my education in obtaining a BA in Child
Development or just settle for an AA in this field. I knew that with a BA I could do much, much
more for this field. I believe children are the future, especially now more so than ever, and I want
to be a part of that future by assisting in the positive, healthy, early educational development of
children’s growth and development. My goal is to be a support for low-income families facing
challenges in caring for and raising their children, as well advocate for children’s early
developmental needs. This all is now made a reality through the education made possible by this
scholarship. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for giving me this opportunity.
