Uganda's lockdown from school was one of the longest in the world. Our teachers worked constantly creating self-study kits for our children in the bush, far away from any possibility of on-line studies. It's all paid off! Our first mid-term exams went great! Throughout the 2 extreme lockdowns, schooling has continued only for certain classes facing National exams, medical trainees and recently again, colleges. Our young ones in the Refugee camp would have missed every opportunity so we have been hiring tutors, sending study packs and paying an English teacher to help those who recently arrived from South Sudan to get a start on English. Our young people are so appreciative and so bright-spirited!
