Activated Ministries Scholarships

As of June, 2016, 284 scholarships have been awarded to qualifying individuals, for a total of $275,000. Since 2010, Activated Ministries’ In Recognition of Service Scholarships have provided tuition assistance to the children of current and former missionaries. Our goal is to honor those who have served on the mission field, for a minimum of 10 years, by assisting their children in the pursuit of their education. Individual scholarships range from $500 to $1500, averaging $1000.

Applications are received and processed each Spring and Fall. Dear Activated Ministries,

I would like to express my thanks for being accepted as a recipient of the IROS Scholarship for the Fall Semester of 2013. Being a recipient of the IROS Scholarship has been a great blessing to me in helping to defray my tuition costs, as I’m sure it has been to numerous other students as well.

Since applying for this scholarship I have graduated from my undergraduate program at the top of my department and I was chosen as the valedictorian for my college campus.

I am extremely grateful to be one of the individuals to receive the Activated Ministries (IROS) scholarship! I was starting to get nervous because my tuition was due. I got so excited when my mom came into my room to surprise me that I received the scholarship! It was definitely an answer to prayer, and I will put it to great use for my education. Dear Activated Ministries,
Hello, my name is Julia Martiny, I come from a missionary family and I have recently received on of your scholarships. I just wanted to reach out and personally thank you for supporting my education in this way. As I am sure you know, it has been somewhat difficult finding the means to pay for school, however, I knew that God was calling me to study at Liberty University and that he would provide the means for me to do so. Thanks to you I can now continue my dream of becoming and industrial engineer at a Christian University. This scholarship is a huge blessing that will help me immensely and allow me to spend more time focusing on my classes. Thank you once again for everything that you do. May God continue to bless you.
